Cheap Car Rentals in Victoria Inner Harbour Seaplane Base Airport

Very efficient process at pick up and return. Would definitely use next time.

We booked a Full sized car for pick up and drop off at Victoria Airport but it got fouled up and was set for pickup downtown instead. Big price difference and National said we would have to get an SUV instead at an even higher price so advised to take shuttle ($50 later) downtown. Wouldn't have upset us but got there and was informed there they don't have full sized cars so "would upgrade us" to a puny SUV or we could pay to upgrade to a slightly less puny one! Told customers are "happy to be upgraded"! I tried to get into the 'mid-sized' Hyundai and couldn't contort myself through the door opening without Yoga moves and then once inside felt like being rooled into a Catscan machine! Just way too closterfobic! And we have a VW beetle that we love the interior room and comfort of! We canceled the booking at National and walked around the corner (still minus our $50 shuttle cost) to Avis where they quickly got us set up in a very comfortable and only slightly highr priced Chrysler 300S! All I can say is don't trust 3rd party booking systems to get what you book where you think you're booking. Have a direct with rental car back up booking to be sure you have something and know what you are getting! Sad this rip off the customer ridiculous price gouging the rental companies are doing is pushing us all to look for alternatives that aren't always safe. So they can get us comfortable with the higher price for swinging their fleets to Electric cars while paying for that fleet changeover! Sucky!!!

Somehow when I searched car rentals at YYJ it had me picking up my car at the downtown Victoria location. The great staff at the airport fixed the reservation without any “up charge”!! They are awsome. Car was new and very clean.

The people were friendly and courteous. The car was impeccable but they tried to give me a compact instead of the midsized car I ordered. They first said they only can do their best to give us what was ordered but can't guarantee it. Our conversation was short but polite when giving my opinion and the associate went and had a very short conversation with their manager and came back with an appropriate replacement with out any difficulty. The return was again, friendly quick and courteous.

It was good to rent from downtown Victoria location vs the airport as there is a substantial savings. The car rate was higher at the airport & the airport has a fee added in to each rental which I think is around 10%

Staff were very friendly. Car was brand new and immaculate. I wish there was an insurance option for $0 deductible as the only option they had was a $500 deductible. Apart from that I had no issues. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire from them again.

When I was booking I thought I was booking for a airport pickup, as I was waiting for the airport shuttle I contacted enterprise to get picked up only to find out the rental location I had chosen was the government street location in Victoria. I made the reservation for 11:00. We ended up having to take a cab to pickup the car. We arrived at the dealership shortly before 12 due to the confusion. The dealership had no cars so we were told we would have to wait. Approximately 20 minutes later a staff member arrived bringing lunch for all of the staff and we were given that car to use. Another gentleman who had been waiting before we got there told us to go ahead and take that car as he was willing to wait for another one to arrive. When it was our final day I wanted to confirm there was a key Dropbox as the dealership closed at noon, I called the location at approx 9:30 in the morning and waited on hold for approximately 35 minutes before I gave up and just drove to the location and asked the question in person

I reserved before traveling. When I landed at the airport with three young kids on my own. They had oversold. They said they tried calling me- while I was flying. They did not do anything to help sort the problem of them overbooking/selling.

They were very helpful in providing me with a car at a location that was closer to where I was staying

Desk man was helpful, efficient, and courteous. He was personable enough without being overly assertive. Good info, quick check-in, helpful service. Upon return, the attendant in the garage was AMAZING. Super pleasant lady, incredibly helpful and personable, and went out of her way (from detailing returned cars) to offer guidance and support. Above and beyond positive person and service. She was enough to make me want to check AVIS first when returning to the area.
