I arrived to my scheduled pick up and Hertz was closed, with no instruction of where I was supposed to go to get my car. I called and cancelled, and rented a car on site with enterprise.

Arrived half an hour early, only to find out that there were 0 cars available (despite having reserved a week in advance) and there were 6 people ahead of me on the wait list and it could be hours before a car was available. The worker just shrugged and said too bad and was overall super unhelpful. My friend had a negative experience at this hertz before and I should have taken note. Fortunately the Avis booth next to Hertz had cars available. It was also an ordeal to actually get my reservation canceled through Hertz.

I was unable to retrieve my car since the location was closed. I was also unable to reach a live person to assist. I have to communicate throw another location to cancel the reservation. Great price. We had to stand in line in the cold for 1 1/2 hours in the parking deck to get the car due to our train trip being canceled, but otherwise we had a great experience.

I am an incoming academician to the US. When I rented the car, i paid 82$ on the website of KAYAK in addition to 12$. However, Budget charged me $20 more during the renting. I should expect that such an action should be more obvious in your website.

There is no signage at Union Station to inform you where find Budget’s temporary office located in the parking garage since they closed their counter in the building. Although I had reserved a car just hours before, upon arrival they had no small vehicles and informed me that I could wait an indeterminable time in the open air garage at 35 degrees or pay for an upgrade to an suv. Having chosen the SUV so I didn’t have to wait for a car to be returned, cleaned, and brought up, the clerk who walked around to inspect the car completely ignored massive damage on the passenger side where a tire/wheel had clearly rubbed up against and dented/stripped paint on the door. Don’t trust them.

Pick up and drop off was not easy especially drop off. It’s in a mall and I have no idea where is car returns. I haven’t given any directions, all I have is the address. No signs whatsoever about car returns. I have to park in the mall and go around asking people. I found there office inside the mall and the lady said I can park anywhere in the mall. The lady wasn’t friendly. I’m not super happy about the drop off part but the price and car were great.

Better communication towards pickups and drop off locations and more instructions.

The pick-up was horrible. I was suppose to pick up the vehicle at 12 noon. I didn't get a vehicle until after 1:00pm.

This was my first time driving a "keyless" vehicle. I wasn't given any instructions how to operate it. I had to call a friend to tell me how to start and turn off the vehicle. I'm old school and hadn't rented a vehicle in over several years.

Pick up at Washington Union was horrible. Took 90 minutes in line for the staff to check in less than 10 people. No sense of urgency. Manual paperwork felt like the dark ages compared to other car rental companies. Would not use again unless they had the only available cars in town!

It was the absolute worst. I rented a compact car for one day to run errands. When I got there around 9am they didn't have any cars available and said the wait would be about an hour.They asked for my phone number and said they would call when the car is ready. I walked around Union Station for 45 minutes and then went home. By the time I got home they finally called and so I trekked back. Then they said the only vehicle available is a full-size Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. More than half day was lost and so I could accomplish what I needed to and I had to drive this huge inefficient truck in the city. Avis is the dumps, avoid if possible.

I was the only customer at pickup likely due to covid and considering the circumstances the overall experience was pleasant. Dropoff wasn't as smooth but nothing worth losing sleep over.

It seems like Avis's entire fleet at Union Station was kind of bedraggled and the location of the rental agencies within the garage is a bit depressing, which I admit is probably out of their control.

Felt lied to because I was told my car was full but it was only half full (gas). I paid unnecessarily for gas. Plus, they didn't have the car size I wanted. Would not recommend.

I made a reservation to pick up at the Enterprise at 99 H Street which is inside of Union Station. When I arrived, the location was closed. I had to have a car service take me to the airport which was a $20 charge, and an hour and a half of my time that I needed for travel. If the location is closed, I’m confused as to why I could even make a reservation in the first place. This was extremely disappointing!

Enterprise did not honor the rental. No car was available, which required me to rent elsewhere last minute, costing hundreds of dollars more than I otherwise would have had to pay. Never using them again.

Unfortunately, nothing.

When I arrived at the rental location the representative told me that I did not have a reservation. When I showed him my reservation he said “oh, I tried calling you because we don’t have any cars available.” I explained that I would be willing to pay more for any car they had (I saw several cars in the lot) but he said I couldn’t because they had all been reserved. I reiterated that I also had a reservation and he just stated “I’m sorry, it’s our system.” It became clear that he was not willing to help so I left incredibly disappointed and without a vehicle. It was incredibly inconvenient as I had to completely change my plans for the weekend. Based on this experience I will never rent from kayak or enterprise again.

My pick-up and drop off experiences were really good. Both people were courteous and prompt. They each took their time to inspect the car noting any dings or marks in and on the vehicle.

The car I received was less than clean. The driver's seat had burn marks from what look like a cigarette, the odor inside the car wasn't fresh, and the worst part was leaving the rental location only to learn while i was on the road, there was ZERO WINDSHIELD FLUID. The windows were already filthy and had a layer of dirt and dried water marks, but I wasn't pleased to have to make a stop solely in order to clean the car windows, which I assume is part of renting a car...that it would be clean when I pick it up.
