staff was helpful when i asked to upgrade the car - needed something bigger

the vehicle that I was given when i first arrived to hertz, looked considerably smaller than the type of vehicle i had originally rented...thus the need for the upgrade need to show a full list of all vehicles for each category (ie: list all vehicles that are considered economy, intermediate,...)

Everything was good except they mixed up my rental paper work with another person whose last name was also Taylor. They were trying to sort it out but needed a manager's code or something. So they said they'd email my receipt but I haven't seen it yet. It's been 6 days!

Just being more careful with the paper work and emailing my receipt.

When I gave the rep my confirmation number I was told it belonged to someone else. She said she had cars available and honoured the rate listed in my confirmation email. It really made my day as I had been travelling all day and my luggage had gotten lost and I wanted at that point was to get to my hotel and go to bed.

The only thing I would change are the hours of operation, but I get that Winnipeg isn’t exactly a “24 hour” city.

Was easy to book online. My car was ready when I arrived and picking it up was quick and easy.

There is a charge to pick up the car in Winnipeg and drop it off in Brandon; which I expected and knew about. This was the most expensive part of my rental. If this could cost less that would be great. :-)

Friendly staff

Just rented a car from Avis in Edmonton - no fee if either my husband or I drove. Enterprise in Winnipeg wanted $10 a day. Felt a little ripped off. :(

Originally rented a Kia, upgraded to Golf @ airport for $5 more.

Car needed servicing. Low Coolant light came on several times (looked under hood, it was very low, but there was a little coolant left). Also, ran out of washer fluid after the 4th or 5th use

The staff was very helpful and friendly! It was a quick process to rent the car and the drop off process. The cars are close by to the airport which is great when you have lots of bags and kids!

I never like all the additional charges when you show up to get the car. This is not specific to Payless. Our guys was not pushy which was nice.

Best price I could find, the replacement car I got was brand new

When picking up the car they didn't have the car size I had reserved, the company representative tried to put me in a smaller car which was unsuitable for my needs, it took me sometime to convince him that I could not settle for his proposal and that I would expect from him to upsize the vehicle at no additional cost instead of downsizing at the same rate. Eventually he somehow found a proper size car which worked well but had a coolant level warning light come on intermittently while driving. I reported this problem after it had appeared a few times and was asked to bring the car in and exchange it for another. Needless to say I did not appreciate the "welcome treatment" I had received. Other than that everything worked out fine

Brittany was the agent we dealt with at WPG airport and she was fabulous, extremely efficient and pleasant. There was a line up and needed to wait a hit for a car, out of her control, yet she handled it with ease - very impressive! The car was very clean and had been well taken car of, will use Dollar and Kayak again.
