Additional charges for taxes and airport fees when I dropped off the car that I wasn't expecting. Only one key worked but two were permanently attached on the ring. They were bulky and a pain to carry when you had no option to separate.

They rented me a car, 2WD, did not warn me about the road. The car slipped so many times and the tires must not have been all season. II could not go up one of the slopes by the Steamboat Ski. They should warn me not to rent it.

Great experience with staff & pick-up/drop-off. Staff was very accommodating. But the VW Jetta was very pricey and poorly maintained, had sensors malfunctioning. Maybe that’s just the nature of VWs. We find Fords are typically more reliable.

Staff at a drop-off was prompt and courteous. Staff confirmed pick-up day before by telephone.

Rented an SUV in the mountains where it snowed and it turns out that vehicle did not have 4 wheel drive. At pick-up attendant was late arriving at the office. Vehicle was dirty.

Everything was top notch from the representative pulling the vehicle up to the door and giving us tips for drop off for our departure back home. All other budget rental car locations need to model this one. The car cleanliness and maintenance was great!

Beware. Did not receive car reserved for rental. Car was to be a Ford Mustang convertible (or similar), but was given a Toyota Camry (entry model) instead and was told it was an upgrade.

We were given a Nissan Sentra to drive from Steamboat Springs to Denver. We should have been told to upgrade to a four wheel or all-wheel drive. Furthermore, the tire pressure light was on. When we checked them, three of the four tires were overinflated by 20 PSIs!!!! This is very dangerous.

I arrived at around 2:00 pm. My reservation was canceled because I was mor than 2 hours late. I didn’t know that they cancel all reservations more than 2 hours late. Had to pay $350 extra to rent the SUV or not renting at all. I’ve never heard of any rule like that, but the manager kept treating me like she was making me a huge favor. Definitely not renting with them again.

Horrible experience. Downgraded my vehicle to smaller than advertised car originally reservered. They also left me waiting for my reservation upon arrival. Thrifty has no sign in the Vail airport itself but only at remote building outside the airport location. They also make you sign off on paperwork that car is in perfect condition before even allowing renter to inspect the vehicle. Never again.
